AKA Flamingo Plant, Painter’s Palette
With shiny green leaves and rich red blooms, Anthurium is one of the most attractive plants to grow indoors. Anthuriums’ glossy green, heart-shaped, and tropical foliage adds so much character to the home, but the main attraction is the plant’s waxy, heart-shaped bracts or spathes, born on long stems and blooming in a variety of colours. The spectacular bracts are the modified leaves rather than the plant’s flowers. The actual flowers are the tiny bumps that grow along with the finger-like projection, called the spadix, which rises from the spathe. The spathe and flower spike (spadix) can be red, white, cream, maroon or purple or a combination of these.
Anthuriums is the world’s longest blooming plant, which means that dazzling colour will last in your home for months.
The Anthurium symbolizes hospitality with its open heart-shaped flower and inspires happiness and abundance.

The size and shape of pot may vary according to availability.
Light: Does best in bright indirect light, not direct sunlight, as it can burn its leaves.
Water: Water only if the soil is dry to the touch, as it is pretty susceptible to root rot.
